Israeli High Court confirms only Palestinian homes can be entered without a warrant in the West Bank

[6 October 2021] – On 1 September 2021, Israel's High Court handed down a decision in a petition seeking to limit the military's power to enter and search Palestinian homes in the West Bank. Since June 1967, Israeli military law has permitted Israeli soldiers to enter any Palestinian home during the day or night.

UK government rejects ICC jurisdiction

UK government confirms that it does not accept ICC jurisdiction over the Israeli/Palestinian conflict.

MCW Annual Report - August 2021

[1 September 2021] - MCW has released a report that considers developments relating to the arrest and detention of children by the Israeli military in the West Bank in 2020 and 2021. In addition to reviewing relevant legal and procedural developments the report reviews the findings from 102 testimonies.

Evidence Update: Physical abuse

[17 August 2021] – In 2013 UNICEF issued a report after reviewing the treatment of Palestinian children held in Israeli military detention and concluded that “the ill-treatment of children who come in contact with [Israel’s] military detention system appears to be widespread."

UK lawyers' report - 9-years on

[15 June 2021] - This month marks 9 years since a delegation of UK lawyers reviewed the treatment of Palestinian children under Israeli military law and published their recommendations. The Foreign Office funded report found undisputed evidence that the system violates the Convention on the Rights of the Child and Geneva IV.
